[Nepeta] That's not what I thought would happen

You pounced on your friend as you both rolled down the hill, landing in a jumbled mess of limbs. Both of you giggled as you attempted to untangle yourselves from each other.

Eventually you found yourself on top of Nepeta, pinning her down with your hands on either side of her face. Her adorably flushed green face grinned back at you, her fangs poking out making her the cutest thing you have ever seen.

You flopped over to lay next to your friend, wrapping an arm around her thin waist to pull her closer. Nepeta’s hat had fallen off during your little tumble, exposing her horns completely. They looked like candy corn, nestled in a sea of black licorice.

So you reached over and licked one.

“[Name]!” Nepeta giggled. “What was that fur?”

“They look like candy, so I thought I’d taste them. But they don’t taste like anything.” You huffed as you lay back down.

“Well of course they don’t, silly. They’re just horns!”

You shrugged. “It was worth a shot.” You poked her horns, causing Nepeta to giggle again. You did this for a while before you noticed something.

“Nep, you’re not purring. Everyone else purrs, even Karkat.”

Nepeta glared at you, which you couldn’t take seriously. “Thanks fur pointing that out, [Name]. It just so happens that I am the only troll that can’t purr. How furrustrating is that!” She crossed her arms as she snuggled close to you.

“Pretty frustrating if Equius can do it too.”

“Be quiet, [Name]. Don’t make me claw you.”

“Yes ma’am.”
